I enjoyed the 20 x 250m session the other day. Did it at 1:35.3 with a relatively comfy first half so I thought I'd up the ante a bit.
Got to 13 before sacking it off for a medium intensity cardio row instead - I think I'm feeling overdosed on lactate this week!

It was one of those weird feelings - I kept going faster and then telling myself to slow down but couldn't. Did 10 firm, long strokes at the beginning of the last 5 or 6 reps and then looked up to the screen, mostly @ 1:28-9 pace so backed off to 1:34 to the end except in the 11th where I just held it through to 1:30.
I could have done 20 if I'd slowed down again and probably ended up around 1:34 for the session, but I'll just have to do that one day to prove it to myself.
I did 280m @ 1:28 pace for the 2 min challenge to see if I had enough left to do sub 1:30 but again, not up for such high intensity tonight.
Then set 2500m on the dial to make it 6k for the session and pushed it just enough to make it a good cardio piece
2.5k - 1:53.2 r23
Won't be training tomorrow, off to Birmingham for a meeting. Also Tue, Wed, Thur, off to a place near Dundee for the Hoseasons conference so it'll probably be Friday next. Flying to Hong Kong on the 17th and back on the 26th Nov so not a great deal of training days before the Welsh Champs (unless I find an erg in HK and I am 'allowed'!)
